COMMUNITIES BEFORE CORPORATIONS Communities are made up of people and so are corporations. One of the differences is that people in communities, are responsible for themselves and their families. On the other hand, a corporation is an artificial person created by the laws of a state or country. Owners (“shareholders”) are not liable for the corporation’s actions or debts.
